Harmon Curran Welcomes Rich Eisenberg as a Partner

Harmon, Curran, Spielberg & Eisenberg, LLP is pleased to announce that Rich Eisenberg has been named a partner in the firm as of January 1, 2021. Rich joined Harmon Curran in December 2017 and has 12 years of experience as a lawyer in campaign finance, policy, and litigation.

At Harmon Curran, Rich represents the firm’s nonprofit clients, which include advocacy organizations, think tanks, PACs, private foundations, political campaigns, trade associations, and other charities and social welfare organizations. Rich advises clients on how to remain in compliance with laws that apply at the federal, state, and local levels, assists clients wishing to establish new nonprofit entities, and helps organizations maximize their advocacy within the constraints imposed by tax laws and federal and state election laws. He also assists clients with all types of legal issues related to managing their nonprofit organizations and employees.  

Prior to joining the firm, Rich served in the general counsel offices of the United States Army and Air Force as a political appointee in the administration of President Barack Obama. Rich also spent a year as in-house counsel for President Obama’s re-election campaign, with responsibility for ensuring the campaign’s compliance with federal campaign finance laws and other legal requirements. Before joining the Obama campaign, he was an associate in the litigation department of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, LLP, with experience in complex civil litigation, securities law, contract law, employment law, white-collar investigation, and arbitration.

Rich is a 2008 graduate of Harvard Law School and received his B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from University of Pennsylvania in 2005.

Rich is a member of the District of Columbia and New York bars.
